Why should I take an exam?
Studying English is great. You have good marks from your school. How does that compare to other schools? Are you prepared to use English in all aspects of your work, education, and life? An official exam will give you a score that is equivalent for all test takers and has a national or global standard that may be accepted by companies, universities, and governments as a true evaluation of your skills.
How do I choose an exam?
It is a personal choice based on how and where you want to use your certification. You should consider these points:
Your level- Don’t waste money on taking a test that is too easy or too hard. What is your CEFR level? (Take a free online evaluation at https://www.efset.org/)
Your goal- Do you need the certificate for school or work? Which country will you use it?
Timing- exams aren’t available year round. You should look at three important dates
Registration date (sign up and pay)
Exam date (some exams require more than one day)
Results and certificate (results may take 4-6 weeks after the exam and 4 more weeks for the certificate)
Which Exam should I take?
How do I prepare?
You have studied English for many years. Are you ready for an official exam? You have speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills. Now you need to practice your exam taking skills.
Official exams often have a more complex structure than regular classroom exams. Once you have chosen the exam that you want to pass, you will need at least 6 weeks to practice the exam format; and more if you need to improve your English level.
You can take an academy course or hire a private tutor. Your teacher will introduce you to the various components of them exam and help you learn the skills to achieve your best notes on the exam. Your teacher will help you identify your weak areas and design activities to improve or strengthen your skills.

When can I take an exam in Palma de Mallorca?
The busiest exam season is April-July with many options available. Exams are available to the public throught the year, but with fewer dates available.
